Mitch and I decided to escape this morning and come closer to the beach to work. We dropped Tamara at the beach for her surfing lesson. She’d made use of some of her free time last night to get through some of her outstanding tasks to free up some time this morning. We are in a lovely peaceful place (not so peaceful at night, I can assure you) called the Beach Road Hotel. One lovely latte later and I was ready to tackle that rather unpleasant document waiting for me in my inbox.
After reviewing the document and updating my biz partner, Nicholas, it was time to give you guys a picture of how this looks. I’ve checked my task lists on some of the org software we use online, made sure that any outstanding emails have been addressed.
Yesterday afternoon, while the team were plotting world domination, we decided to try out the ‘Find Friends’ feature on our i-mates. This morning Dave has decided to give it a try. I updated my location, and Dave decided to see if he could find us. I was happy to see that the phone plotted my location exactly where I happened to be.
So here we sit, waiting for Dave to find us.
Damn that latte was great.

What is the ‘find friends’ you mentioned and how does it work?
Is this just an imate application?

It’s a Telstra Whereis application. It plots your locationby ‘triangulation’ and allows other people to locate services and friends locally.
