Ok we’re off and chilling, after a great breakfast courtesy of our chef Alex. With a morning spent doing our usual jobs, taking calls and using very fast Internet off our iMates courtesy of Telstra’s Next G network. To give you an idea I was listening/watching to some youtube while checking my email and bouncing around a few web pages with no problems at all.
There is my good self, IT guy, mental case, photographer (not necessarily in that order). Gotta say this is a great experience, so far I’ve been able to do everything I would normally do, with the possible exception of getting a good latte, however we are working on that tomorrow.
These guys are all amazing, what Paul might call “motivated, self starters”
I’ve just been playing with some PBX based VoIP and all is going well, essentially I can answer my desk phone from my laptop, so cheap voice calls and people can get me where they expect me to be. The whole thing is secured with IPSec for secure data and voice in these troubled times
Really looking forward to what tomorrow holds with the organisers keeping a few secrets behind their mischievous smiles.

Hey Dave,
You really are getting overly responsible in your middle age…. Checking emails and answering your phone?!? It’s been a day now - as a “motivated self starter” a photographer of your calibre should be out there snapping beach bunnies! Stop being selfish - think of your desk bound friends…
